Points to watch

  • Businesses must regularly monitor their GEMI electronic mailbox, as it is the main notification channel.
  • Deadlines are strict: 20 days for Greek companies and 3 months for branches of foreign companies.
  • From 2026 onwards, non-compliance does not only affect registration but also creates significant financial cost.
  • The new sanctions act as a deterrent, making better coordination by management and strict observance of deadlines essential.
